One of my guiding principles as a designer comes from my professor, christopher austopchuk, who once told our class: If you can look back at your work 10 or even 20 years later and still feel it’s relevant, you’ve created something truly timeless. That’s the best compliment you can give yourself.
That idea still resonates with me, especially now as AI-generated design transforms our industry. AI offers incredible speed and instant results, but it raises an important question: can it create work that truly stands the test of decades?
More than ever, our role is evolving—from creators to curators—ensuring that the vision behind our designs remains strong, coherent, and meaningful. Because in the end, timelessness is still the highest form of design.
