Making the invisible visible
When frog partnered with the Norwegian Competence Center for Offshore Wind, Havvind faced a fundamental challenge: establishing credibility in a highly competitive, technically complex sector from complete obscurity.
As Design Lead, I worked with our strategic lead and UX designer to transform Havvind into a recognized authority. My role was translating offshore wind's complexity into a clear, accessible brand and digital experience, building trust through quality-assured, research-based information that could serve decision-makers, industry professionals, journalists, and the general public.
The Design Challenge
Havvind was completely unknown in offshore wind markets where credibility is everything. Through stakeholder workshops, we discovered that in this polarized environment, trust comes from addressing difficult questions transparently—not avoiding them.
As design lead, I needed to create a visual and digital identity that communicated scientific rigor, transparency, and accessibility while establishing authority without arrogance. With major industry events approaching, we had just 10 weeks from strategy to launch.
My Design Approach
Building on strategic groundwork from 2023, I led the visual identity and web design through intensive stakeholder workshops in early 2024. My approach centered on collaborative design—ensuring visual decisions reinforced strategic positioning while achieving team alignment from day one.
