Is Taste the core skill now?

AI is getting very good at producing what already looks right. That's exactly why judgment matters more.

Process makes instinct legible. It helps others understand why one direction feels more right, more necessary, more meaningful than another.

A human can taste the difference between artificial flavor and natural flavor. Design is no different. AI can simulate style, polish, familiarity. But judgment is not surface. It is the ability to recognize what is real, what is necessary, what deserves to exist.

The designer's role is shifting. From maker to curator. From executor to editor. From producing options to knowing which one is true.

I've said AI is artificial flavoring. But the real question is who still knows the difference.
